Where EasyRetro is the better choice
Template range. Over two hundred formats against fifty-two. If your facilitators like reaching for an unusual exercise, EasyRetro has more of them ready to run.
Enterprise controls. SAML SSO on the Large Business plan and an audit log on Enterprise. QRetro has neither, so if your security review requires them, EasyRetro clears that bar and QRetro does not.
Track record. More than a million retrospectives run on the platform, and a decade of history under two names.
Where QRetro is the better choice
No board quota. Two public boards a month covers a fortnightly retrospective for one team and nothing else. Five boards on the $21 plan covers a weekly retrospective and little more. QRetro does not count boards, which matters most for teams that also run incident reviews, quarterly sessions and one-off workshops.
Teams are free. Team workspaces, shared boards and action items carried between sessions start on EasyRetro's paid plans. On QRetro they are part of the free product.
Planning poker included. Estimation runs on the same accounts and boards, with task import from Jira and Linear, instead of requiring a second tool and a second subscription.
Access from your assistant. QRetro exposes retrospectives over the Model Context Protocol, so Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code can query boards, health trends and open action items directly — including asking what was agreed three sprints ago and never finished. Take EasyRetro if you need SAML SSO or an audit log, or if a very large template library is worth a subscription to you.
Take QRetro if the board quota is the thing that keeps getting in your way, if you want team features without a paid plan, or if you want retrospectives and planning poker in one tool.
